Shi Shang Bai

Shi Shang Bai is a heat-clearing herb classified under herbs that clear heat and resolve toxicity in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Available in concentrated granules form, 100g.

Actions & Indications:

• Clears Heat and resolves Fire toxicity - cough due to Lung Heat, swollen and painful throat, fever, sores and ulcers, upper respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, adenitis
• Clears and drains Damp-Heat - Damp-Heat jaundice, Damp-Heat affecting the Bladder, ascites associated with Liver disorders
• Invigorates Blood, disperses Stagnant Blood, and disperses masses and accumulations - chronic hepatitis, Liver disorders

Properties: Sweet, acrid, bitter; neutral to cold. Enters the Liver channel.

Dosage

Generally, the recommended daily dose for an adult is 9 grams, but any final decision should be made based on a trained healthcare practitioner's assessment.

Treasure of the East recommends splitting the dosage into two or three servings per day.  If taken twice a day, each serving size is 5 grams.  If taken three times a day, each serving should be 3 grams. Each measuring spoon included with Treasure of the East granules holds 1.5g.
