- Promotes the movement of qi and blood, opens the middle burner, and unblocks the channels: for epigastric pain, abdominal distention, irregularity, or irregular, scanty menstruation. Also for wind-damp painful obstruction with pain and stiffness of the lower back and knees.
- Expels wind and promotes water metabolism: for nasal congestion, painful obstruction, and edema with urinary difficulty.
- Promotes lactation for Insufficient lactation due to Qi Stagnation following parturition.
