Common Cold Effective Remedy
Use for flu and common cold following unsuccessful application of the Yin Qiao San formulas. This formula is best used in common cold or flu with swollen glands, fever, and sinus congestion or discharge. Ilex (gang mei gen) and Evodia (san cha ku), not noted in classical Chinese herbal medicine, have recently been shown to have strong antiviral effects. They are unique to the Gan Mao formulas.
