The design of Classical Pearls Peace Pearls offers a distinctive solution to common issues like anxiety and disrupted sleep. It merges the traditional yin tonic approach to insomnia, exemplified by Zhang Zhongjing’s 2nd-century remedy, Suanzaoren Tang (Sour Jujube Decoction), with the yang tonic Qianyang Dan (Submerge the Yang Pellet). The latter is a 19th-century adaptation of the classical Fuzi Lizhong Tang (Rectify the Middle Decoction with Aconite) by the esteemed scholar-physician Zheng Qin’an, the revered founder of the Fire Spirit School. Zheng Qin’an and his disciples view disordered sleep and other symptoms of upward energy as signs of a compromised Kidney battery, necessitating a retraction of life force into the lower dantian. This grounding effect is achieved through the combination of aconite and amomum.
