The formulation of Classical Pearls Evergreen Pearls is inspired by the foundational herbal remedy Danggui Sini Tang (Tang-kuei Decoction for Frigid Extremities), a key jueyin (Liver and Pericardium) formula from Zhang Zhongjing’s 3rd-century classic, Treatise on Disorders Caused by Cold (Shanghan lun). This blend specifically addresses circulatory issues in the extremities and age-related degenerative conditions in the head, neck, and brain. In traditional Chinese medicine, older patients tend to exhibit symptoms of deficiency below and excess above—vital energy no longer rises upward and outward efficiently and excess pathogens such as wind and phlegm and Blood stasis are no longer eliminated properly via downward momentum.
