The design of Classical Pearls Ease Pearls aims to combine the qi-moving, detoxifying, and emotional harmonizing benefits of two of the most renowned Bupleurum formulas in Chinese medicine. It integrates the 3rd-century formula Xiao Chaihu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction) with the 12th-century remedy Xiaoyao San (Ease Powder). This combination is further enhanced by the drying and descending properties of Banxia Houpo Tang (Pinellia and Magnolia Bark Decoction) and the moisturizing effects of Shengmai San (Generate the Pulse Powder). Both foundational formulas address congestion in the shaoyang system (Gallbladder and Triple Warmer), with an emphasis on preventing and treating conditions described as “wood over-controlling earth.” Ease Pearls are ideal as a primary or supplementary remedy whenever Bupleurum is needed, particularly for pathologies involving qi stagnation or shaoyang disorder.
Classical Pearls are formulated according to the principles of classical alchemy by Heiner Fruehauf, Ph.D. They contain no pharmaceuticals, preservatives, dyes, yeasts, or added sugars and are independently tested for purity, identity, and the concentration of active ingredients during procurement, manufacturing, and importing.
