Actions: Warms and strengthens the middle burner, regulates the qi, and invigorates the blood.
Pattern: Cold from deficiency of the Spleen and Stomach with qi stagnation and blood stasis.
Chinese Symptomology: For spasmodic epigastric pain, nausea and vomiting or spitting up of sour liquids, a feeling of fullness and distention in the chest and abdomen, and sharp pains. The pains occur when the stomach is empty.
Contraindications: Contraindicated for those with chest or abdominal pain due to inflammation.
