Bo He essential oil is steam distilled and provides the pungent, aromatic and cool properties of mint associated with the lung and liver meridians. It is expansive immediately, stimulating and cooling, and opening nasal passages, brightening eyes and lifting mood. Used in particular to expel wind heat and remove liver Qi stagnation. And like all essential oils it is easy to use, fast acting and cost effective
Common Uses
* To drive out wind-heat, clear eyes, head, and throat. For common cold due to wind and heat with symptoms such as headache, cough, sore throat, and red eyes.
* To enable the flow of liver Qi and relax the emotions.
* For constrained Liver Qi patterns with pressure in chest and flanks, gynecological problems, and unstable emotions.
* To relieve itching
* Blended with Bo He and Chuan Xiong and applied locally for headache.
Dilution:Â 2-8% (test for sensitivity with higher dilutions)
Major known chemical constituents:Â menthol (30.70%), menthone (27.08%), limonine cineol
