Gou Qi Zi essential oil exhibits a mild, fruity, and nutty aroma and flavor, making it gentle enough for direct application. It can be utilized as a standalone essential oil or as a carrier oil for blends.

Gou Qi Zi is a rare substance that can nourish Jing essence and strengthen a weakened constitution. It supplements the Liver Blood and Kidney Yin. It may be taken daily as a restorative tonic for issues commonly associated with aging, depletion from chronic illness, or recovery after an acute illness that has depleted the body fluids, yin essences, or blood.

Beneficial for the eyes, Gou Qi Zi plays a key role in supporting vision. The Liver, which is connected to the eyes, relies on Liver Yin and the circulation of Liver Blood to supply the necessary fluids that keep the eyes healthy and vision clear.

Take as a nutritional supplement: 1/3 teaspoon once or twice daily.

To support eye health, Gou Qi Zi can be used either as one of the essential oils or as the carrier oil in a blend with other essential oils such as Ju Hua (Chrysanthemum), Ho Luo Bo Zi (Carrot seed), and Man Jing Zi (Vitex) for application on acupuncture points.
