Over the centuries, the use of this formula has been greatly expanded because of a realization that it can be effectively used in treating any disorder due to fright, or from phlegm in the Liver-Gallbladder system. Today, it is used for a wide variety of internally-contracted disease. The cardinal symptoms are fullness in the chest accompanied by irritability and palpitations. This is a complex formula designed for a complex pattern. It incorporates hot and cold substances, purgatives and tonics, and has wide application. It is not surprising, therefore, that many different interpretations of the pattern and the formula itself have been expressed through the years. A different, yet commonly-held view of the mechanism of this disorder is that it began as a lesser yang-stage condition which was improperly purged, and that lesser yang (Liver and Gallbladder) dysfunction is at the core of the condition. Some go so far as to characterize the disorder as an interior lesser yang-stage problem. This understanding is based partly on the fact that this formula is a variation of Minor Bupleurum Decoction (xiao chai hu tang), the quintessential formula for lesser yang-stage disorders, and partly on the presentation itself. The difficulty with this interpretation is that the source text places this formula under the heading of greater yang-stage disorders. --Bensky; Chinese Herbal Medicine Formulas and Strategies.*

English Name: Bupleurum Plus Dragon Bone & Oyster Shell
Chinese Name: Chai Hu Jia Long Gu Mu Li Tang Granules, 100g
Unit Size: 100 gram bottle
Potency: 5:1
Actions: Courses the liver and rectifies the qi, fortifies the spleen and supplements the qi, clears heat, transforms phlegm, and eliminates dampness, constructs, nourishes, heavily settles, and quiets the spirit
Pattern: Liver/spleen disharmony with depressive heat, phlegm dampness, and disquieted heart spirit
Chinese Symptomology: THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF LIVER DEPRESSION INCLUDE:Irritability ~Chest oppression ~A desire to be left alone ~Ribside pain Cold hands as a stress response ~Depression ~A bowstring pulse ~Sighing ~THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF SPLEEN VACUITY INCLUDE:Fatigue ~Possible cold hands and nose ~Lack of strength ~A fat, enlarged tongue with teethmarks on its edgesOrthostatic hypotension

Ingredients

Chai Hu (Radix Bupleuri) 17.00 %Ban Xia (Rhizoma Pinelliae Ternatae) 9.00 %Da Zao (Fructus Jujubae) 9.00 %Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei) 9.00 %Mu Li (Concha Ostreae) 7.00 %Long Gu (Os Draconis) 7.00 %Huang Qin (Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis) 7.00 %Sheng Jiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens) 7.00 %Qian Dan (Minium) 7.00 % Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng) 7.00 %Gui Zhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae) 7.00 %Fu Ling (Sclerotium Poriae Cocos) 7.00 %

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0473/2407/0044/files/tcm_20zone_20chinese_20herbal_20granule_20formulas_761cef1c-7b4d-4411-8cb6-68dd24e56730.jpg?v=1787459991
