Zhong Gan Qing Pian, Tablets

Guang Ci Tang^® Zhong Gan Qing Pian, also known as Physiclear^™ and formerly Coldclear^™, is a signature Chinese herbal formula that supports immune function and a healthy immune response. Its traditional Chinese medicine actions focus on clearing Heat, resolving toxicity, and responding to external Wind as it progresses from the surface into the interior.

TCM Formula Profile

Jin Yin Hua and Lian Qiao form a well-known herbal pair that releases the Exterior, clears Heat, and removes toxic substances. Huang Qin clears Heat and drains Fire, particularly when Heat affects the upper respiratory tract and Fire is in the Lung. Together, Jin Yin Hua, Lian Qiao, and Huang Qin constitute the formula known as Shuang Huang Lian.

Ban Lan Gen and Da Qing Ye provide additional heat-draining and detoxifying actions that enhance the formula’s ability to remove toxins. Jie Geng ventilates the Lung and clears Phlegm, while Qiang Huo releases the Exterior, disperses Cold, and dispels Wind.

Concentrated Herbal Preparation

Each bottle contains 200 tablets at 200 mg per tablet, providing 40 grams of formula at a true 5:1 concentration. Each tablet is equivalent to 1 gram of raw herb. Fillers and binders account for 8% of the tablet weight.

The formula is prepared by making a traditional water decoction and concentrating it through proprietary technology to form an herbal extract. The concentrated extract is then made into tablets. The herbs are tested for authenticity, quality, and potency, including comprehensive laboratory testing for heavy metals and other substances. The product contains no pharmaceuticals, sugar, or dyes and is gluten free.

The tablets are produced in a cGMP-certified facility and imported in accordance with U.S. FDA guidelines. Guang Ci Tang^® products have been used in the United States since 1995.

Uncoated Tablets

The tablets are intentionally left uncoated to minimize the use of excipients. As a result, they may have a neutral finish, appear slightly brittle, or leave a small amount of fine powder at the bottom of the bottle. One or two tablets may occasionally break during transportation. The tablets can also be dissolved in hot water and served as tea.
